Hydraulics Design Engineer
LOCATION:
 Oak Creek, WI
ONSITE:  Eligible for Mondays and Fridays remote when possible
DURATION: Full time / Permanent - SALARY: $100,000 - $120,000K per annum
BENEFITS: Full Benefits Package
RELOCATION: Yes
 
As the Hydraulics Engineer, you will have the opportunity to direct and contribute to the concept, development, and design of complex components, subsystems, or processes while strengthening your analytical skills and mastery of engineering concepts. You will collaborate with and provide technical guidance to project teams. You will contribute to the planning and delivery of projects, continually learn and stay abreast of innovative technology, mentor and coach team members, and broaden your professional network.

Responsibilities
• Concept & development of hydraulic components by performing engineering analysis and
providing technical design & manufacturing guidance to team engineers.
• Roles would include: development, research, computational analysis, quality, reliability,
and/or application of hydraulic components.
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of a project.
• Collaborate with the controls and mechanical teams to complete design
goals to complete the goals for the machine.
• Perform needs analysis and initiate ideas.
• Conduct technical evaluations of major systems on competitive products.
• Specify and/or design cartridge style manifolds.
• Specify hydraulic stack valves, pumps, motors, and filtration.
• Specify hydrostatic propel systems.
• Design and apply appropriate hydraulic cooling system for machine.
• Hydraulic Hose/Tube routing experience.
• Support and advise other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, customers, and
suppliers.
• Ability to mentor less experienced engineers in hydraulic concepts
• Communicate both technical information and results to team members, suppliers, and other
business units.
• Travel to customer sites to perform operational testing and validation.
• Other job duties as assigned.
 
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline (Engineering)
Experience
• Ability to perform analysis, design, and validation of hydraulic systems
• 5 plus years of experience in design of mobile electro-hydraulic control systems
• Strong understanding of hydraulic valves, circuits and principals
• Strong understanding of hydraulic component operation and application
• Experience with hose/tube specification and routing

Technical Skills
• Ability to perform analysis, design, and validation of hydraulic systems
• 5 plus years of experience in design of mobile electro-hydraulic control systems

  • Strong understanding of hydraulic motors, pumps and cylinders and how the components interact
    • Strong understanding of hydraulic circuits and principals
    • Strong understanding of hydraulic component operation and application
    • Experience with hose/tube specification and routing

Experience using AutoCAD, CREO, and experience with Automation Studio would be a PLUS
The ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
