Jr. Azure Cyber Architect

We are seeking a Junior Azure Cybersecurity Architect to support the design, implementation, and management of cloud security solutions within a government-focused environment. This role will assist in securing Azure cloud infrastructure by implementing cybersecurity controls, supporting compliance initiatives, and helping remediate security risks aligned with business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the design and implementation of cloud security architecture within Microsoft Azure environments
• Assist in enforcing security controls aligned with frameworks such as Zero Trust and Defense-in-Depth
• Help manage identity and access management (IAM), including MFA, SSO, and privileged access
• Contribute to vulnerability assessments, security testing, and remediation efforts
• Support monitoring, alerting, and incident response using Azure security tools
• Assist in maintaining compliance with government standards such as FISMA and FedRAMP
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and auditors to ensure secure cloud operations

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with hands-on exposure to Microsoft Azure environments
• Strong understanding of cloud security, risk management, and compliance principles
• Experience with IAM, network security, and application security in cloud environments
• Familiarity with Azure security tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in government or regulated environments (Gov Cloud)
• Exposure to CI/CD security and vulnerability scanning tools
• Knowledge of security frameworks and cloud compliance standards
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, AZ-500, CISSP, or similar)
