Job Summary:
The Merchandising Insights team is looking for a Mid-Sr. Level Data Engineer to join their team. The Merchandising Insights team plays a crucial role in enabling merchandisers to make informed decisions regarding items, pricing, and promotions for both in-store and online shopping experiences. The team also takes responsibility for developing reusable Power BI components, ensuring consistency in analytics and insights across the organization. By leveraging these components, we streamline the process of generating actionable information, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness throughout the merchandising function.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the as-is landscape and design the to-be architecture.
- Understand the use cases, refine user stories, update sprint backlogs, and plan sprints.
- Gather requirements for the MX platform from Client's subject matter experts.
- Define source to target data mapping and identify transformation needs.
- Architect, design, and develop data ingestion pipelines for the MX platform.
- Validate data and tables, and automate jobs using Azure-based orchestration.
- Develop a strategy for parallel runs and validate migrated data.
- Work on Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Analytics tasks as a team.
- Provide support for the apps deployed into production.
Must Haves
- Data engineering, analytics, and data modeling experience
- Python, Spark, Databricks, Azure, Power BI
- Experience in retail merchandising analytics is a must
- 5+ years of experience
- Able to work W2 without sponsorship
