Tax Analyst / Tax Accountant – Full-Time
Charlotte, NC- 4 days onsite
We are seeking an experienced Tax Analyst / Tax Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, NC, supporting the 2025 tax season with a strong focus on tax return preparation and indirect tax compliance. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely filings while supporting tax-related activities tied to M&A transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax returns with a focus on indirect tax compliance
- Support compliance processes, documentation, and reporting requirements
- Assist with tax implications related to mergers and acquisitions
- Utilize MS Excel and tax research/compliance tools such as OneSource or Checkpoint
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure adherence to tax regulations and internal controls
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable):
- 5+ years of experience in indirect tax compliance
- Hands-on experience with OneSource or Checkpoint
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting M&A tax activities
- Background in the insurance industry
- CPA designation
