Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team in Richmond, VA for an initial 8-month contract engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java development, financial crime/compliance platforms, and modern cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and related technologies
• Work with Actimize platforms, including ActOne, STAR, and AIS, to support financial crime and compliance initiatives
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and manage database interactions
• Build, deploy, and maintain applications in AWS cloud environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and efficient solutions
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment activities

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Java development
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience with Actimize (ActOne, STAR, AIS)
• Strong proficiency in Java and SQL
• Experience working with AWS cloud services

Preferred / Secondary Skills:

• Python
• PowerShell
