Etrading Java Developer
Location: Onsite 3 days a wk; Hybrid – Office location is NYC
Required Pay Scale: $60-65hr W2
Java eTrading developer required to focus on the FICC Emerging Markets eTrading deliveries including algorithm development, strategic framework development and regulatory initiatives related to eTrading. The successful candidate will be involved in the development of the next generation eTrading platform for the Emerging Markets business. The initial focus will be sovereign bonds and IRS (both d2d and d2c). The project will evolve to cover other asset classes as part of a cross-line-of-business strategic initiative. The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of the software development life cycle and will have daily interaction with traders, quants, and senior stakeholders. You must be a self-starter and willing to work with new technologies.
We would ideally like some subset of the Skills below:
· Previous experience at a tier one bank.
· Strong Rates/Fixed Income product knowledge desirable.
· Extensive experience of distributed, multi-threaded system development in Java (Java 1.8 preferred).
· Previous eTrading application development experience is highly advantageous but not essential.
· Previous python development experience
· Experience of industry standard Continuous Integration and automated testing tools.
· An appetite to work on a high-profile project in a fast-paced delivery focused environment with exposure to senior business sponsors.
· Knowledge of electronic venues such as Bloomberg, TradeWeb, MarketAxess is desirable.
· Sound knowledge of software engineering design patterns and practices. Soft Skills Required- - Proactively own and resolve details of high-level tasks - Enjoy team working environment - Demonstrate an understanding of operational aspects of managing a software stack.
