Job Title: Migration Architect
Duration: 12-18 Months W2 Contract
Location: Pennington, NJ or Kennesaw GA (Hybrid 3x per week onsite)
Required Pay Scale: $70 - 75/hr W2

Job Description
Migration Architecture Support will work alongside the Application Architect to design and create Proof Of Concepts and Migration Roadmaps to assist with the connection and modernization of legacy applications. The goal of this position would be to take the legacy applications in ASP.NET Webforms, Mainframe Applications, among others, to become a modernized, connected application architecture.
Important skills:
- Technical Development Background in Java or .Net.
- Previous experience with Design of applications. Focus on application design - help roadmap out architectural roadmaps in the cloud
- Ability to create roadmaps for migrations. Experience with helping roadmapping migrations (Mainframe to something more modern or Webforms to something more modern). Giving advice at previous clients, etc.
- Ability to create POCs and assist with decision making regarding analytics tools and conversion tools.
- Excellent communication skills
Technical Skills:
- Converting Monolithic applications into Containerized applications – UI, Services and Databases.
- Docker, Kubernetes and Redhat OpenShift platform.
- Cloud/container-native architecture and design patterns.
- Microsites, microservices, REST APIs, messaging, Distributed and No SQL DBs.
- Familiarity with Azure and AWS platforms – VMs, Kubernetes, DBs etc.
