Leading tech staffing firm engages with military Veteran community to support transitions to civilian work life
Somerset, New Jersey (April 23, 2024) — Matlen Silver, leading IT staffing and solutions firm ranked as one of the largest IT staffing and fastest-growing firms by Staffing Industry Analysts, announced the launch of a new program to support the career journey of military Veterans and their families. The Valiant Workforce Program aims to prepare and deliver an experienced Veteran talent pipeline to hiring companies seeking to grow their diverse workforces.
According to the US Department of Defense, approximately 200,000 Veterans will transition from military work to the civilian work sector each year. “There is an incredible opportunity to harness talent that is so desperately needed in tech roles across all industries,” says Cameron Edwards, SVP Client Strategy and Operations. “And what better way than to focus on supporting the career goals of our well-qualified, talented Veterans and their families following their significant sacrifice and dedication in serving our nation.”
In addition to a comprehensive program that includes assisting Veterans with a robust pre-hiring experience, career placements and post-placement coaching and follow-through, The Valiant Workforce Affinity Group is an additional resource to support the Veteran Community. This affinity group is an employee-led, voluntary group that provides a safe space for Veterans and the military-aligned community to connect, share experiences, network, and advocate for issues important to the Veteran community.
